Didn’t we have an intricate plan…?

So, C and I are in the middle of a move, upheaval, Life Stuff. (All good, don't worry about us.)  IAC I wanted to post an update here, since it has been a while since my last blog-confession.

In November, I'm hoping to blog mostly if not exclusively VFP-TMM, in between packing madly and that Life Stuff.

For the few remaining days of October, I'm still working madly, finalizing some of those Enterprise Application Transparent Switches that I've mentioned occasionally here.  That's going pretty well, BTW, thank you for asking.  But there's a lot of deep code to hand off at this point, and C and I are both frantically transitioning it to a bunch of other people through October.

The process is a little like handing over the VFP-Reporting System Xbase components, only a heck of a lot less organized because there is a greater number of technologies involved. One of the similarities is that you can tell people 100 times that the day is coming, but they don't really believe you until it's almost here.

Yep, it's like ripping off a bandaid. If your work is flowing between the heart and the arteries of a business, especially if it goes right down to the capillaries, and it's time to move on, that part is going to happen pretty definitely. No matter how careful you are.

I'm going to try and post a couple of non-VFP-TMM items this weekend.  I won't have forgotten about the TMM thing. But I have a huge list of topics I've been wanting to dig into on the RS side also. I've picked out this couple of topics because I promised them to some RS-forum-folks, and because I think they're pretty important, and because I want to switch gears cleanly in November.
