{"id":160,"date":"2007-11-04T16:53:00","date_gmt":"2007-11-04T16:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"\/lisa\/post\/2007\/11\/04\/Two-steps-forward-one-step-back-in-TMM-progress-tonight.aspx"},"modified":"2021-08-30T15:00:47","modified_gmt":"2021-08-30T22:00:47","slug":"two-steps-forward-one-step-back-in-tmm-progress-tonight","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/spacefold.com\/lisa\/2007\/11\/04\/two-steps-forward-one-step-back-in-tmm-progress-tonight\/","title":{"rendered":"Two steps forward, one step back, in TMM progress tonight"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[Please reference <a title=\"VFP-TMM introductory post\" href=\"\/lisa\/2007\/10\/17\/What-LSN-was-Not-Allowed-to-Do-What-LSN-Plans-to-Do-About-It-Now-and-What-You-and-I-Will-Never-Call-It\/\">this post<\/a> if you\u00a0have not previously read about VFP-TMM.]<\/p>\n<p>Tonight I&#8217;m posting a major work of C&#8217;s, as a separate article.\u00a0 This <a title=\"Spacefold article: Data Visualization in SP2 Reports\" href=\"\/articles\/datavizreports\">white paper\/set of session notes<\/a>\u00a0on Data Visualization in Reports, SP2-style,while not technically part of TMM,\u00a0will serve as the basis for a lot of TMM posts.\u00a0 It is an integrated walkthrough, from a very simple example, through full-blown extension exposure.\u00a0It will provide reference code and illustrative scenarios\u00a0for a number of TMM docoids, as well as a conceptual\u00a0overview from which you can envision the full scope of extension architecture, at both design- and run- time.<\/p>\n<p>Rather than do double work, some TMM items will simply point you to the right direction in one of C&#8217;s walkthrough sections or appendices.\u00a0 What&#8217;s more, the article really does so much of the groundwork that if you have it in front you as a resource, you may not need the rest of TMM nearly as much.\u00a0 C is working on posting <a title=\"CMN Spacefold article RS Fundamentals\" href=\"\/articles\/rsfundamentals-part1\">another one<\/a> that will help you as well. Go team.<\/p>\n<p>One of the steps forward is getting this\u00a0white paper formatted and\u00a0uploaded, as a solid\u00a0foundation for what we need to do in TMM.\u00a0 But, if I&#8217;m not posting a new docoid tonight, why is it two steps forward?<\/p>\n<p>In the process of lovingly re-formatting and re-enjoying C&#8217;s work today, I realized there was some additional stuff I wanted to throw into the critical <a title=\"FRXCursor - TMM\" href=\"\/articles\/tmm\/tmm-frxcursor\">FRXCursor TMM\u00a0docoid<\/a>\u00a0to make sure it was covered properly there.\u00a0 I&#8217;ve revised and re-uploaded that one.\u00a0 Once again: IT&#8217;S CRITICAL. And now it&#8217;s a bit more comprehensive.<\/p>\n<p>What&#8217;s the step back?
